Ethanol News

LATIN AMERICA – Domestic ethanol prices in Brazil have eased this week after buyers drew back from the market but heavy rainfall over the weekend may further tighten supply availability and underpin prices. Offers for both Anhydrous ANP and Hydrous are seen at R$1,150/cu m ex-mill Ribeirao Preto (with taxes) but there are currently no bids.

A weaker US dollar and a slight easing in domestic values have allowed for lower prices in the export sector.

The indicative bid/offer range for Anhydrous ANP has been re-assessed at $595 – 675/ cu m FOB Santos, with bids and offers both $5/cu m down on last week. Hydrous bid values are down $15/cu m to $575/cu m while offers have slipped $5/cu m to $595/cu m. EU Grade anhydrous prices are also down $10/cu m on both bids and offers, and are now seen in a $620-720/cu m price band.
